NEW YORK, NEW YORK (June 20, 2023) – Park Hyatt New York today announced the appointment of Denise Florio as Director of Sales & Marketing of the 210-room luxury, five-star urban resort located on West 57th Street in the heart of bustling Midtown Manhattan. Florio joins the iconic, award-winning property with nearly 20 years of Hyatt experience earned at numerous properties prior to joining Park Hyatt New York.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, Florio oversees the hotel’s sales, marketing, and events team, as well as assisting in dedicated efforts to drive the property’s overall revenue through market analysis and strategic planning. Florio will focus on maximizing hotel revenues through guestroom sales, meetings, and on-property experiences and partnerships, working closely with General Manager Laurent Ebzant to usher in an exciting new chapter for the storied high-end hotel. Before joining the team at Park Hyatt New York, Florio served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino.

“We’re delighted to welcome Denise to the team at an exciting time for the hotel, and we anticipate many positive outcomes as she puts her experience and connections to good use drawing formidable guests and groups to our corner of Midtown Manhattan,” said Ebzant, who joined Park Hyatt New York as General Manager last year.

Hailing originally from White Plains, New York, Florio earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She later launched her career in 2005 with Hyatt as a Sales Coordinator at Grand Hyatt New York, where she held various roles for eight years en route to becoming Associate Director of Sales. In 2013, she joined Andaz 5th Avenue as Director of Sales and was later appointed Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events for Hyatt Regency Greenwich in Connecticut. Florio also served as Corporate Director of L&D for Hyatt Hotels Corporation where she was responsible for growing and developing talent for the company by creating and delivering learning opportunities for sales, marketing, events, and revenue management leaders among 245 full-service hotels across all Hyatt brands.
