Online Travel Sellers Searching for Competitive Edge Earned $250 Million in Bookings during 2023

  • Leading travel affiliate program for bloggers and media generated 562,000 bookings for travel sellers in 2023, up by 194% vs 2022.
  • These incremental, high-margin, hard-to-reach reservations generated $250 million in sales for Stay22’s travel suppliers in 2023, up 224% vs 2022.
  • Stay22 is projecting sales of over $415M USD for travel seller partners in 2024 as the company expands both content provider partners and travel seller portfolio.
  • Every day more and more online travel sellers are turning to affiliate marketing programs such as ours to gain an edge in what remains a brutally competitive online landscape” says Andrew Lockhead, CEO & Co-Founder ahead of the company attending ITB Berlin.

Montreal, Canada – 29 February 2024 – Stay22, the travel tech company that offers affiliate revenue generation opportunities for travel bloggers and media, has today confirmed ahead of ITB Berlin that 2023 was a record year for bookings and revenues generated for its travel selling suppliers.

During the full 2023 year Stay22 generated 562,000 bookings for travel suppliers, up 194% vs 2022, providing them with unique distribution to gain incremental, hard-to-reach bookings.

These bookings represented approximately $250 million USD in high-margin incremental revenues for Stay22’s travel suppliers, representing an increase of 224% vs 2022.

Currently the company – whose technology helps suppliers better tap into the booming creator economy, successfully linking travel content creators with big travel suppliers – works with 11 travel suppliers around the world, including major hotels, airlines and online travel agencies, with more coming on board soon.

Celebrating this record growth in 2023, Andrew Lockhead, CEO & Co-Founder, from Stay22 comments:

“We’re very proud of the great value we’ve delivered to our supplier travel partners during 2023. Not only did we deliver them $250 million in reservations but also helped them to gain high-margin, incremental, hard-to-reach bookings not accessible via normal distribution channels.

“That’s why every day more and more online travel sellers are turning to affiliate marketing programs such as ours to gain an edge in what remains a brutally competitive online landscape.

“Despite this being a great success we nonetheless aim to grow overall bookings to hit sales worth around USD415 million during 2024. Watch this space as we bring on board both more blogger and media partners along with expanding our portfolio of supplier partners.”

The Stay22 team will be attending ITB Berlin, one of the world’s biggest tourism trade shows, taking place from 5 to 7 March in Berlin, Germany to meet with partners.
