Occidental Nuevo Vallarta Unveils Expansion in Guestroom

MIAMI (June 20, 2019) – Occidental Nuevo Vallarta is excited to announce the opening of its brand new tower, which will feature a modern and elegantly-appointed guestroom inventory. The $8 million project is slated to open in the first quarter of 2020.

Located in the Riviera Nayarit, Occidental Nuevo Vallarta (part of the Barceló Hotel Group), will increase its guestroom inventory to 366 rooms and suites; 92 of these rooms will be totally new, distributed throughout the six floors of the new tower. Each new room will feature extraordinary Pacific Coast views of Bahía de Banderas.

With the Riviera Nayarit’s ever-growing popularity amongst travelers from the United States and Canada, it is an optimal time for the resort to expand its guestroom offering. For the last several years, Riviera Nayarit has earned a reputation as a sustainable destination, thanks to some of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in Mexico. Additionally, an increase in air travel options, spectacular outdoor adventure offerings (both on land and sea), authentic Mexican culture and exquisite culinary options have made the destination one of the most attractive destinations for both international and national travelers.

“Our number one priority at Occidental Nuevo Vallarta is the satisfaction of our guests,” said Juan Luis Sampol, Director of Barceló Hotel Group’s Pacific region. “Occidental Nuevo Vallarta’s new tower will improve our guest experience offering by providing travelers with more exclusive options when selecting their rooms. We’re confident that this will be a great success for the brand.”

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta is an all-inclusive resort located just 25 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International airport and is ideal for hosting diverse events such as weddings, meetings, conventions, and much more. Outstanding services include room service, 24-hour reception, and free parking at the resort. The resort also provides a variety of activities and excursions for all ages and tastes, including water sports like diving or kayaking. In addition, it has a full program of activities for kids in the Kid’s Club. Cuisine has equally great prominence in the daily schedule, thanks to the resort’s four restaurants, and its proximity to the famous local fine dining in nearby Puerto Vallarta. The Occidental Nuevo Vallarta’s attentive staff ensures a pleasant stay while enjoying an idyllic setting, with the beach taking center stage.
