Nexion Unveils Corporate CoNexions, Providing Unparalleled Access to Corporate Travel Resources

The inaugural event was held this summer at Los Angeles International Airport, including tours of Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the new Delta One terminal.

Onboard Norwegian Getaway (October 1, 2015) – Today, Nexion®, the travel industry’s premier host travel agency, announced a new, exclusive event called Corporate CoNexions, which provides Nexion’s corporate-focused travel agents with unparalleled access to resources and exclusive, “behind the scenes” opportunities to help them grow their business. The inaugural event, which will be held annually, took place this summer in Los Angeles, California with a full day of training and tours at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Nexion invited its top 25 performing business travel agents for the exclusive experience at LAX, including tours of the brand new Delta One terminal and the expansive Alamo Rent- A-Car and National rental car facilities.

“Nexion has so much to offer corporate travel agents ranging from our great relationships with suppliers like Delta and Enterprise to our online booking and reporting tools,” said Nexion President Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE. “Recognizing the growing importance of the corporate travel segment among our agents, we devoted our first Corporate CoNexions to educational and business development opportunities that pertain specifically to the corporate travel world, including government regulations and legal changes, technology integration and changes to GDS systems.”

Nexion’s special group of corporate travel agents was the first travel industry group to tour the brand new Delta One terminal. This state of the art terminal was designed to be “paparazzi proof,” providing a private airport experience for clients avoiding the glare of the spotlight. Nexion’s travel agents experienced the terminal like their client would, from the private elevator for expedited security to the new amenities in the Delta Sky Club.

“As the very first travel industry group to tour the new Delta One terminal, our Nexion travel agents can

provide a level of expertise and knowledge to their business travel clients that other agents won’t be able to match,” explained Nexion Vice President Robbi Hamida, CTA. “This type of access is only possible thanks to our incredibly strong relationship with Delta Air Lines, and it demonstrates how much they value our travel agents and the partnership we’ve developed. It’s a great resource for Nexion members.”

In addition to the Delta One and Sky Club tours, Nexion agents had the opportunity to tour Alamo Rent- A-Car and National rental car’s LAX facilities, which is the largest rental car operation in the United States. The behind the scenes tour gave Nexion agents access to the inner workings of the massive facility

and the opportunity to meet the Enterprise staff members who make it happen. “The size and scope of the facility was extremely impressive. Bookings with Alamo and National make up a significant number of our Nexion agents’ car rental reservations, so the opportunity to meet the people responsible for the largest rental car operation in the United States was extremely valuable,” added Hamida.

The one day event also included a tour of the Delta Air Lines LAX control tower and training sessions focused on the needs specific to corporate travel agents. Training sessions included topics such as: utilizing technology, government and legal issues, GDS changes and customer care. “Our first Corporate CoNexions was a fantastic success,” continued Hamida. “We plan to host one of these invitation-only events per year for our corporate travel agents, as the experience proved to be very valuable. In 2016, the Corporate CoNexions event will take place at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport – the busiest airport in the world, and the event will continue to evolve based on the needs of our corporate agents.”

All agents – specializing in business or leisure travel – interested in learning how to succeed as a professional business owner, backed by Nexion’s many great benefits, are encouraged to call 800-747- 6813 or email sales@nexion.com.
