Nexion Honors Its Top Agents During CoNexion 2016

 

Nexion Recognizes Winners for Circle of Excellence, MillionAirs, Ambassadors and Rising Stars

 

 

San Diego, CA (September 19, 2016) — On Saturday, Nexion^®, the travel industry’s premier host travel agency, announced the recipients of its prestigious “Circle of Excellence,” “MillionAir,” “Ambassador” and “Rising Star” awards for 2016. Nexion Vice President Robbi Hamida announced each of the major award winners during the final day of Nexion’s 10^th annual CoNexion conference, held at the Loews Coronado Bay Hotel in San Diego, California. Nexion agents Steve Lincoln and Diane Earman are particularly noteworthy for being honored with both the Circle of Excellence and MillionAir awards.

During the special CoNexion ceremony, a total of 85 agents were inducted into Nexion’s Circle of Excellence, which recognizes top producers who achieved set goals for selling cruise and tour vacations using Nexion’s supplier partners. Additionally, Nexion honored 23 agents with its distinguished MillionAir award to recognize individuals who have personally achieved more than $1 million in airline sales during the course of the previous year (September 1, 2015-August 31, 2016). Two of Nexion’s new agents were honored as Rising Stars.

 

As part of its honors celebration, Nexion bestowed three of its distinguished Ambassador Awards to agents who embody the spirit of Nexion, who support Nexion programs and events and who are committed to helping others succeed. This year, Nexion announced two sales and program-based winners. Samantha Khalil delivered the highest sales volume through the pinSIGHT hotel booking engine, and Mike Edic had the highest combined ARC and non-ARC sales among agents who were not part of the Circle of Excellence or MillionAirs.

 

Additionally, Bill Tilburg was the Ambassador Award winner based on nominations from his peers. “Bill has proven himself time and time again as a team player, a leader, and a compassionate individual who brings his best for others and wants what is best for the Nexion agent community,” explained Nexion President Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE. “He is an avid supporter of Nexion programs and events and actively coaches and mentors other Nexion agents out of the goodness of his heart. The only satisfaction and reward back to him is the professional growth of each of his mentees. Bill has also stepped up to be a group leader for the new Nexion Networks program, leading one of the three Boston area groups and continuing on with his dedication to the growth and betterment of the Nexion agents.”

 

In addition to the formal onstage recognition received at CoNexion 2016, the top 20 MillionAirs will be treated to an all-expenses-paid trip to Cancun, Mexico, November 4-7, 2016, courtesy of hosts Nexion, Delta Air Lines and Delta Vacations, with Enterprise Holdings serving as a sponsor. This year’s honors retreat will entitle each agent winner to bring a guest to enjoy an all-inclusive stay at Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun. The top 44 Circle of Excellence winners will be hosted by Travel Impressions and sponsored by Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Globus family of brands, AmaWaterways and Travel Guard at the IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraiso in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, December 1-4.
