New Global Travel Advisor Recognition Program Launches

NEW GLOBAL TRAVEL ADVISOR RECOGNITION PROGRAM LAUNCHES

19 October 2021 – The 1000, a club for the world’s most influential travel advisors, launches today, with an industry-first plan to build the only community of wholly-verified, top producing travel advisors from every corner of the world, across all travel product types and budgets.

Founded by industry veterans Tim Morgan (formerly of Virtuoso) and Jeff Sirota (formerly of Small Luxury Hotels of the World) to complement a travel advisor’s existing agency or consortia relationship, The 1000 plans to solve a common industry problem: how to provide relevant recognition, rewards, and relationship-building to travel advisors based on their individual sales efforts and individual business needs.

To achieve its goal, The 1000 was developed with assistance from a global travel advisor committee alongside the global C-suite travel executives that make up the organization’s Club Board:

  • Chris Austin, CSO, Explora Journeys, USA
  • Filip Boyen, CEO, Forbes Travel Guide, UK
  • Ulla Heffel Bohler, CEO, Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold, Switzerland
  • Courtnie Nichols, CEO, Compass Collective, USA
  • Andrea Grisdale, CEO, IC Bellagio, Italy
  • Matt Cameron-Smith, CEO, Voyages Indigenous Tourism, Australia

“As a new travel industry emerges beyond the pandemic, it is more important than ever that advisors understand how powerful their influence is and that they are receiving recognition that is relevant to them, their clients, and their supplier relationships,” said Morgan. “We are entering a new era that requires a new approach.”

Uniquely, The 1000 provides a first-of-its-kind recognition platform that gives all advisors the ability to understand how their sales success likely compares to others in their local area, country, and world. Once verified by The 1000, advisors can use this recognition to enhance their marketing to new and existing clients and supplier partners.

“Knowledge is key,” said Sirota. “Advisors need to understand the influential power of their own sales in carving out new opportunities for themselves. The 1000 will amplify that unique power and give them the proper platform to promote it.”

Over time, benefits will continue to unlock related to advisors’ individual geographic needs, client needs, and product/supplier needs, giving them access to a community of like-minded travel advisors and suppliers across the globe.

Complimentary applications are open to all advisors around the world until 5 November 2021 at www.the1000.club.
