Miami Swim Week at the Kimpton Surfcomber

MIAMI (June 25, 2019) – Kimpton Surfcomber, a boutique property situated oceanfront in the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco District, will set a picturesque backdrop for the events of the world-famous Miami Swim Week.  The fashion shows at Surfcomber will run from July 11ththrough 13thand will include top international brands in an amazing line up of swimwear design talent.

 

The iconic Ocean Drive Magazine will set the tone for Miami Swim Week, on Thursday, July 11th, with their annual opening night party.  Agua De Coco, the luxury Brazilian Swim wear line, will open the night with a fashion show at 8:30 p.m. A new brand Diosa Mar, based in Mexico City, by heiress Tatiana Rodriguez Anderson will launch its debut collection at 9 p.m., and the night will close with a 10 p.m. fashion show by the global trend magnet, Oh Polly Swimwear.  Oh Polly by Claire Henderson is one of the fastest growing swimwear lines globally, with record setting sales last year due to their innovative marketing, Instagram presence and influencer relationships. The night will also include a live performance by American Idol finalist, Michelle Sussett. Among the celebrities in attendance will be supermodel Isabeli Fontana, who is the Ocean Drive Magazine’s July cover girl.

 

On Friday July 12th, there will be a showcase of two exciting emerging brands. The brand Seeker of Sunshine, a new line dedicated to the beachy earth goddness, from Hawaii will present at 8 p.m., and Nash Beach, a rock and roll line that embodies the retro Mod era, from Nashville, Tennessee will present at 8:30 p.m. The headliner for the evening is celebrity favorite, Giannina Azar, who has a couture evening wear brand that is a go-to for red carpet divas like JLo, Thalia and Kim Kardashian. She will debut her Swim and Resort wear collection at 9:30 p.m.

 

The event on Saturday, July 13thwill begin at 8 p.m. with Swim Week regular, Keva J swimwear line. Her 2020 line is showcasing two collections: Neon Lights and Basic Instinct! “Think, “Bright Colors That Pop!” and Animal Prints. At 8:30 p.m., the exquisite Italian Luxury Swimwear brand, Parah, will present their latest collection of swim and resort wear.

 

At 9 p.m., the Sean John X Playboy limited edition White Party Collection will showcase a runway presentation.  Sean John recently launched this collection with the legendary lifestyle and media brand, Playboy. “Partnering with Playboy on this collaboration is a no-brainer for Sean John,” said owner Diddy.” As I think back on the parties Playboy had throughout the years, I have to be honest and say that those were my inspiration and what I mirrored for my first All-White party.”

 

At 10 p.m., Planet Fashion and Surfcomber will present a special Swim Week celebration of PRIDE, starting with an awareness moment for the Trevor Project.
