Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona Fuses Art & Beauty in New Sensorial Experience

In collaboration with Italian brand Hora Sexta, the Art & Beauty Majestic Experience will invite guests to create their own work of “wellness art,” completely customized to their preferences

BARCELONA, Spain (July 23, 2019) – Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, the five-star luxury hotel that is as iconic as it is emblematic of the Spanish city’s lifestyle, architecture and society, has unveiled a brand new Majestic Experience, completely personalized by the guest: Art & Beauty by Majestic Spa & Hora Sexta. Majestic Experiences are activities and excursions offered exclusively to guests to explore the hotel’s and city’s many treasures. This new Majestic Experience will fuse together the property’s most discerning aspects: its 1,000-piece art collection, idyllic spa and five-star gastronomy.

In collaboration with Hora Sexta, the Italian brand that combines excellence and luxury with biological science, the Art & Beauty experience will combine the potential of both themes and invite guests to create their own work of “wellness art,” taking the concept of tailormade experiences to a whole new level.

Also known as the Hotel of the Arts, the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona has not only hosted some of the world’s most influential artists, like Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró, but its walls and corners offer an incredible collection of contemporary art including paintings, sculptures and graphic works displayed throughout common areas and guest rooms.

The Art & Beauty experience will take guests on an artistic journey throughout the hotel with an opportunity to personalize their experience at every phase. While viewing each of ten works of art, a spa therapist will invite the guest to make a choice, for example, between different essential oils, a selection of rose petals, four types of stones, or a variety of aromas from a chest of perfumes. The choices, which are meant to be influenced by the guest’s current physical state and mood, will be noted by the therapist who will then create a personalized treatment that combines all the ingredients chosen, using Hora Sexta products.

Hora Sexta’s treatments are designed to undo the damage caused by day-to-day stress. Art & Beauty will be a cutting-edge ritual that will help guests to relax and experience beauty with a new sense of wellbeing. The treatment is designed to slow down and rebalance the rhythm of life while the innovative Hora Sexta biotechnologies provide the necessary elements to help nourish the skin and reconnect the body with nature.

The third facet of the sensorial experience will highlight taste, inviting guests to enjoy El Bar del Majestic or La Dolce Vitae, the hotel’s newly renovated rooftop terrace. David Romero, the hotel’s executive chef, has prepared a menu with ingredients selected by Hora Sexta thanks to their restorative properties: arugula, chili, olives, extra virgin olive oil, rice, wheat, almond, avocado, apple, grape, orange and cherry.

The Art & Beauty experience lasts about three and a half hours depending on the client’s preferences and is priced at 490 euros.

Aligned with its commitment to the environment, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona relies on its staff, external partners and guests to promote environmentally friendly practices throughout the hotel. Selecting partners such as Hora Sexta, whose manufacturing processes and products are respectful of the environment, further solidifies the hotel’s longtime commitment to sustainability.
