In this role, Chapin will lead Internova’s air strategy while strengthening the company’s relationships with airline, global distribution system (GDS) and technology partners. He will focus on expanding strategic partnerships, enhancing Internova’s air programs and delivering greater value to the company’s global network of more than 100,000 travel advisors through innovative commercial and distribution initiatives.
Chapin joins Internova with more than 35 years of leadership experience spanning airlines, travel technology, supplier partnerships and commercial strategy. Throughout his career, he has developed a unique perspective across airlines, travel agencies, consortia and travel technology, with deep expertise in airline contracting, GDS strategy, supplier partner negotiations and large-scale distribution transformation.
Prior to joining Internova, Chapin served as Vice President, Global Flights for Scenic Group, where he led the company’s global air organization across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Earlier, he held leadership roles with Ensemble Travel Group, Virtuoso, American Airlines and Sabre, helping build enterprise air programs, negotiate strategic supplier partner agreements and lead commercial and distribution initiatives that strengthened relationships and drove business growth.
“Brian’s experience across airlines, travel technology and supplier partnerships makes him an excellent addition to our team,” said Peter Vlitas, Executive Vice President, Partner Relations, Internova Travel Group. “His strategic perspective and industry relationships will strengthen our air strategy and help us continue delivering exceptional value to our travel advisors and airline partners.”
“From my first days at Internova, I’ve been incredibly impressed by the depth of knowledge, collaboration and talent across the organization,” said Chapin. “It’s immediately clear why so many advisors choose to be part of Internova’s family of brands. The culture of respect, teamwork and commitment to supporting both our advisors and our partners is truly exceptional. I’m excited to join Peter and this outstanding team, and I look forward to strengthening our airline partnerships, advancing our air strategy and helping create even greater value for our advisors, partners and clients.”
Chapin has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and as Vice President of the California Coalition of Travel Organizations (CCTO). He was recognized with ASTA’s Barbara O’Hara Advocacy Award for his contributions to the travel advisor community.
