The grand opening event took place on the starlit evening of December 2nd, when more than 2,000 people came to witness its unveiling. The guests had the opportunity to discover the new hotel through a selection of experiences and happenings that took place in different areas of the hotel, ultimately showcasing the beauty of the local culture. One of the most note-worthy happenings was an exclusive concert by the Symphony Orchestra of Merida, conducted by legendary Mexican director Alondra de la Parra.
Hotel Xcaret Mexico boasts 900 Mexican-inspired all-view suites that feature balconies with vistas of the tranquil beach, private coves, flowing river and lush gardens. Among the hotel’s spaces are two special retreats: Casa Fuego, an adults-only oasis with private spaces and amazing vistas and Casa Agua that presents a more holistic experience and caters to those looking for a more tranquil setting. Casa Agua is also positioned near the Spa and Wellness center, providing direct access. Guests can choose from a Suite, Junior Suite, Swim-up Suite or Master Suite. All rooms have been beautifully designed with authentic, locally made Mexican décor and accents/furniture. The Muluk Spa & Wellness is a mystical and natural sanctuary set among the river and jungle. Offering complete relaxation through holistic experiences, guests are catered to with a broad selection of wellness philosophies called Journeys. Treatments are done in cabins set within natural rock caves.
