Palma de Mallorca, August 24, 2022.- Grupo Piñero, a Spanish tourism company with almost 50 years of history, has invested more than €950,000 in the 2021 Training Plan to support the professional growth of its employees. Through this program, the company has provided more than 180,000 hours of training adapted to the specific needs of every position. As a result, more than 102,000 people have benefited from the various activities carried out by the company throughout 2021.

This program, under the company’s Strategic Sustainability Plan 2022-2030, specifically under the People strategic axis, aims to improve the quality of life of people, paying special attention to safety, health and well-being in addition to favoring professional growth within the Group. In this way, the company engages in socially responsible management that will allow it to create value in the long term and continue to be a benchmark company in the tourism market.

Thus, in 2021, various sustainability awareness training courses were taught, and environmental awareness activities were carried out to integrate environmental, social and ethical criteria in business management within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

In the words of Victoria Capellà, Corporate Human Resources Director of Grupo Piñero, “we are continuously working on the implementation of projects that enable the professional and personal development of our employees, as they are the ones who make the company’s achievements possible. In this sense, we are aware that our human capital is our main asset, a fundamental piece in the materialization of our purpose, which is to create exciting experiences. That is why at Grupo Piñero we are committed to the socially responsible management of all employees to ensure the attraction and development of talent.”

Driving Talent

Grupo Piñero has launched the Talent Management Program to give employees a greater role in their professional development. Through this initiative, different processes are carried out to learn about expectations, needs and challenges in terms of development, while setting objectives and an action plan to carry them out with a multidisciplinary approach. In 2021, 7.35% of the professionals have grown within the company and, specifically, 31% of those promoted were women.

In addition to developing internal talent, Grupo Piñero is also undertaking different initiatives to recruit professionals. To this end, the company is working on the Employee Experience Program so that both the company’s professionals and new recruits have a professional and personal growth plan in place that is aligned with the Group’s culture and values.
