Adventure travel specialist World Expeditions is thrilled to announce that well-versed naturalist guide, avid photographer and exceptional storyteller Jaime Dominguez will escort an exclusive journey to the Galapagos aboard a brand new luxury yacht in January 2020.
Holder of the highest certification possible for a naturalist guide in the Galapagos, Jaime Dominguez first arrived to the islands in 1990 and for the last three decades he has been helping visitors make sense of the wonders (and weirdness!) of the archipelago’s unique fauna.
Jaime Dominguez uses his exceptional photography to document and inspire those who have not yet been to this incredible ecosystem and his work has featured in publications such as the Charles Darwin Research Station Calendar. In addition, he assists as a volunteer guide for the Galapagos National Park and is involved in various educational programs for the local communities.
The Galapagos archipelago represents a striking world of volcanic landscapes and fearless animals, and a cruise through this spectacular wildlife sanctuary on board the brand-new yacht Solaris promises to be a memorable experience.
Offering ample space to rest and relax (including sundeck, outside bar and lounge areas), the sleek Solaris accommodates only 16 passengers, allowing for a more personal and intimate experience.
All 11 cabins are spacious and air-conditioned, with first class private facilities and ocean views. Five cabins provide single beds, with no single supplement surcharge required for solo travellers.
Commenting on the new trip, Nathalie Gauthier North American Manager for World Expeditions, said:
“Jaime Dominguez is widely considered as one of the best naturalists in Ecuador. He is known for his love for the Galapagos, which he explores every which way he can – walking, scuba diving, free diving, kayaking, snorkeling and even stand‑up paddle boarding. His experience, professionalism, ethics, great sense of humor and of course unrivalled knowledge are sure to bring the Galapagos to life.”
The new trip is timed when Galapagos wildlife are most active – travellers can spot birds nesting on guided walks, snorkel with playful sea lions or witness marine iguanas transform into an array of colours with the start of their mating season.
NEW! Galapagos in Comfort with Naturalist and Photographer Jaime Dominguez: 8 days. 28 January – 4 February 2020. Aboard the brand new, first class Solaris yacht. Places are limited. Exclusive with World Expeditions.
