From Broadway to Cancun: Hit Musical “Rock of Ages” Takes the Stage at Dreams Resorts

 

 

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA. – Oct. 18, 2017 – AMResorts^®, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, is pleased to bring one of Broadway’s most successful musicals of all time, “Rock of Ages,” to the all-new Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort. The full theatrical production will be performed exclusively at Dreams Playa Mujeres six times a week now through January 15, 2018 for resort guests, other visitors staying in the Mexico Caribbean and the general public.

 

This first-time partnership was announced during Cancun Travel Mart on October 15, 2017, where industry partners, local government officials and members of the media enjoyed the premiere performance.

Produced by the renowned Gerardo Quiroz, one of the most prolific and well-known Mexican producers, “Rock of Ages” is the story of a small-town girl and a city boy as they meet on Sunset Strip while pursuing their dreams of fame and stardom. Their rock n’ roll love story is complemented with hits by artists such as Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more.

 

“Rock of Ages” will be performed at Dreams Playa Mujeres in the resort’s fully-air conditioned, non-smoking Limelight Theatre which can comfortably seat up to 400 guests. The Limelight Theatre Bar serves a variety of drinks and a comfortable lounge space conveniently situated near the vicinity. Showtimes include Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., as well as Sundays and Mondays at 7:00 p.m.*

 

Transportation services are available for guests staying in Puerto Morelos and North to Playa Mujeres. Ticket prices are $139 USD including round-trip transportation and $119 USD without transportation. Ticket prices include entrance to the show and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages 30 minutes before and after the performance.
