FITUR4all Strengthens Spain’s Leadership in Accessible Tourism After a Landmark Year for the Sector
(Madrid, December 29, 2025). – FITUR4all, the FITUR section dedicated to accessible and inclusive tourism, organized in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, is moving forward with preparations for its 2026 edition, with the imminent closing of applications for the FITUR4all Awards and the final definition of its strategic roundtables.
The professional forum built around Spain’s new brand, “Think you know Spain? Think again,” to be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, follows a year that has been especially relevant for accessible tourism worldwide. In September 2025, TUR4all Travel presented its Accessible Tourism Trends Report, which confirmed that accessible tourism has ceased to be a niche and has consolidated itself as one of the fastest-growing and most influential segments of the global tourism industry, positioning Spain as an international benchmark both as a destination and as an outbound market.
With more than 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide and an increasingly aging population, accessible tourism is becoming firmly established as a strategic economic opportunity, as well as a social responsibility. In this context, FITUR4all positions itself as the leading forum for reflection, exchange, and action to promote a more inclusive, competitive, and socially sustainable tourism model.
The FITUR4all 2026 program will bring together public administrations, tourism destinations, companies in the sector, and international organizations, and will address key issues such as:
One of the central moments of the forum will be the presentation of the FITUR4all 2026 Awards, which recognize destinations, companies, and initiatives that are leading the way in accessibility and inclusion in tourism. The deadline for submitting applications ends in the coming days.
FITUR4all will also feature high-level panel discussions, micro-presentations by companies that are transforming the sector, and networking spaces, consolidating this event as an international benchmark in accessible tourism within the framework of FITUR.
“FITUR4all demonstrates that accessibility is no longer a secondary element of tourism, but a key factor in quality, competitiveness, and innovation across the entire sector. Spain has the opportunity—and the responsibility—to lead this change globally, and this forum is a fundamental lever to make it a reality,” said Miguel Carrasco, Director of Accessibility, Culture, and Inclusive Tourism at IMPULSA IGUALDAD.
IMPULSA IGUALDAD is a confederation that works to improve the quality of life of more than two million people with physical and organic disabilities by advocating for and defending their rights, and by promoting equal opportunities through innovative initiatives and programs in personal assistance, universal accessibility, inclusive tourism, employment, among others.
