Experience the Magic of Fiji Afloat: South Sea Cruises Relaunches Iconic Day Trip and Introduces New Sunset Sailing Experience
Port Denarau, Fiji – July 2025 – South Sea Cruises Group is proud to announce the highly anticipated re-launch of its award-winning South Sea Sailing day trip experience, following a significant vessel refit that has elevated the guest experience.
What you need to know:
The custom-designed 78-foot sailing catamaran Sabre returns to the water refreshed and revitalised, ready to deliver even more unforgettable full-day adventures through the breathtaking Mamanuca Islands. Guests will once again enjoy a day of exploration, snorkelling, and indulgence aboard Fiji’s premier sailing experience.
Coinciding with the relaunch is the exciting debut of Sabre Sunsets, Fiji’s newest and only all-inclusive sunset cruise. Setting sail from Port Denarau every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8 July 2025, this 1-hour 45-minute voyage offers a front-row seat to Fiji’s spectacular sunsets across the Mamanuca Islands, as you sail across Nadi Bay.
Guests will be welcomed aboard with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a selection of gourmet canapés and complimentary beverages, including bottled water, soft drinks, house wine, and local beer. As the sky transforms into a stunning canvas of colour, enjoy relaxed island vibes accompanied by laid-back tunes and live acoustic entertainment.
“After a period of exciting upgrades, we’re thrilled to welcome guests back on board Sabre for our signature day trip—and now, Sabre Sunsets adds a magical new way to experience Fiji,” said Brad Rutherford, CEO of South Sea Cruises Group. “It’s more than just a scenic sail—it’s a celebration of everything that makes Fiji unforgettable.”
Bookings are now open for both the South Sea Sailing day trip and the Sabre Sunsets cruise. With limited capacity and high demand, early reservations are recommended.
