Emerald Cruises Celebrates New Super Yacht Emerald Azzurra’s Float Out

Boston, MA (December, 2020) – The newest offering from Emerald Cruises— ocean-going super yacht Emerald Azzurra—floated out this weekend at the Halong Shipbuilding Company in Vietnam. The float out marks just over a year until guests will be able to set sail on the highly anticipated 100-passenger super yacht when she debuts in January, 2022.

“We are incredibly excited to see Emerald Azzurra successfully enter the water as the next stage of her build, the completion of the interior, commences,” said Glen Moroney, Founder and Chairman of the Scenic Group, which includes Emerald Cruises. “Once again Emerald Cruises is looking to the future and building a game-changing vessel at a time when small-ship experiences are gaining popularity. We can’t wait for past river cruise guests and new customers alike to join us on board our very own ocean-going yacht in 2022.”

Emerald Azzurra is the first custom-built ocean super yacht launched by Emerald Cruises, and will set sail on January 28, 2022 for the eight-day Best of the Red Sea itinerary round trip out of Aqaba, Jordan. Cabins are still available on this inaugural cruise starting from $3,315 per person for an Oceanview Stateroom, or guests can take advantage of the Super Earlybird savings on a Balcony Stateroom from $3,769 per person.

Once complete, Emerald Azzurra guests will enjoy a small ship cruising experience with just 100 guests in 50 deluxe suites and staterooms—88 per cent of which include an outdoor balcony. The yacht also features an onboard wellness center (including spa, gym & sauna), three tenders and a Zodiac for shore landings. Three onboard dining locales give guests the opportunity to taste local flavors and savor cocktails while taking in the views. A marina platform on the yacht’s aft allows easy access to snorkeling, paddle boarding or swimming.
Example itineraries include:

  • The 11-day Holy Land, Egypt & The Red Sea cruise, starting from $4,715 per person (departing December 26, 2022) departs from Limassol in Cyprus and calls on Haifa and Ashdod in Israel and Alexandria, Egypt before sailing along the iconic Suez Canal. Visits to Ain Sokhna and Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt round out the journey before finishing in Aqaba, the Jordanian Port city. Highlights include a panoramic Alexandra city tour with a visit to the Montazah Gardens, a scenic Great Pyramids of Giza and Felucca cruise on the Nile, and a glass bottom boat trip on Naama Bay known for its clear waters and sandy beaches.
  • The 15-day Discover French & Italian Coastlines itinerary, starting from $6,510 per person (departing August 6 2020) begins in the French Riviera. Guests will travel from Nice down to Southern Italy with stops in Calvi, Sorrento, and Amalfi, before finishing in Dubrovnik. Stand out highlights include a city tour of Menton with a visit to the local farmers market, a hiking tour to Forte Filippo in the coastal town Porto Ercole, and a guided tour of Sorrento with a delicious gelato presentation and tasting.

To celebrate with its guests, Emerald Cruises is offering a Super Earlybird limited time offer with savings of up to 30% on selected cabins and itineraries, plus a complimentary deposit protection plan and the reassurance of a flexible booking policy. The Super Earlybird offer is valid on new bookings made before December 24, 2020. The latest brochure detailing Emerald Azzurra’s 2022 sailing season is now available for download.
