Dugan’s Travels Visits Washington, DC

BREMERTON, WA, September 22, 2022/24-7PressRelease/ — Jennifer Dugan, Chief Family Officer of Dugan’s Travels, and her team of agents traveled for the first time to the nation’s capital, from September 7, 2022 – September 10, 2022. The purpose of the event was to provide agents with supplier education and professional networking.

Dugan’s U, the agency’s training program, usually schedules two events a year to help agents gain knowledge, establish industry relationships, and build the confidence they need to succeed. However, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented some of these events from taking place for a couple of years. This event was originally scheduled for 2020, then rescheduled for 2021; finally taking place this year.

While in Washington, D.C, agents learned about the latest developments in the travel industry, as well as sales and marketing best practices. They had the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other Dugan’s Travels agents and meet suppliers in a small group setting.

All agents stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Old Town is a busy, historic district situated along the Potomac River, marked by cobblestone streets and 18th-century townhouses. It is a great centralized location in which to experience the area’s rich history and have easy access to all of DC’s attractions.

Jennifer Dugan considers the event a huge success, saying, “After waiting two years for this event, we are so thankful that it finally happened and was successful. We believe it shows how we, as travel agents, have made it past the limitations and difficulties we experienced during the pandemic.”
Now that travel restrictions have been lifted, Dugan’s Travels is looking forward to planning additional events during the next year, including:

  • September 2022 – Virgin Voyages cruise
  • December 2022 – Small group meetings in Las Vegas
  • February 2023 – Walt Disney World bootcamp and Celebrity Cruise event
  • May 2023 – Cancun familiarization event plus Travel Leaders EDGE in Nashville
  • July 2023 – Small group meetings in Las Vegas
