Dugan’s Travels Jamaica FAM Trip

BREMERTON, WA, May 31, 2022 –– Dugan’s Travels recently traveled to Jamaica for an Agent “FAM” event. This was their second such trip since travel restrictions from COVID-19 were lifted.

A familiarization trip, or FAM for short, is a trip designed for travel advisors to learn about a destination, a partner travel company, or an airline, and sometimes, all of the above. FAM trips allow travel agents to experience travel just as their clients would. They stay in the same hotels, take tours, ride buses; all the activities and places that their clients will encounter. The goal is to gain the knowledge to advise clients on the pros and cons and managing their expectations.

Since Dugan’s Travels is a national company with agents located throughout the country, FAM trips are a great way to familiarize a group of agents with the agency’s policies and what they offer to customers. They can see firsthand what customers will experience on specific destinations.

The travel agents from Dugan’s Travels were hosted by Palace Resorts. With several all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and Jamaica, Palace Resorts offers luxurious oceanfront accommodations that include plenty of fun and entertainment, packed into three days (May 21-24, 2022).

The goal of the trip was to educate the agents on all the amenities and features of the Palace Resorts. The group stayed at the Moon Palace in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They were pampered in Awe Spa, enjoyed sunny days at the beach or pool, savored gourmet cuisine and handcrafted cocktails, and more. All with unparalleled service to satisfy the most particular tastes.

Palace Resorts also treated the group to the Mystic Mountain Jamaica Bobsled Adventure Tour from Montego Bay. This excursion offered them an exhilarating bobsled ride through the dense tropical landscape for a one-of-a-kind experience.
