Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (November 14, 2024) – Dream Vacations has been ranked one of the top 150 franchises for veterans in 2024 by Entrepreneur. The ranking, which is featured in the November/December issue of Entrepreneur magazine and on Entrepreneur.com, highlights the top franchise companies that offer incentives to veterans who join their systems. Dream Vacations was ranked No. 3, the highest ranked travel franchise.
“The veteran owned franchises are deeply valued members of our community, and they are also quite active and engaged in their local communities. shared Drew Daly, senior vice president and general manager for Dream Vacations. “We take great pride in having veterans as part of the Dream Vacations family. Their participation in our committees offers essential insights, and many graciously mentor new franchisees. The team considers it a privilege and honor to support them and provide solid business for veterans to have a rewarding career, thrive and grow.
Military veterans and Gold Star families looking to start a work-from-home business with Dream Vacations can receive a 30 percent discount on the initial purchase, along with a $5,000 enlistment package and waived administrative fees valued at $1,800. These franchise owners gain access to veteran-specific resources through the Command Center, a portal offering training and marketing tools tailored for veterans. Benefits also include waived training fees for a business partner, the option to hire active-duty military spouses and veterans at a discount, flexibility to relocate while maintaining the business, travel discounts for military clients, and access to veteran networking groups. Recognized as the only travel franchise with a 5 STAR-ranking from the International Franchise Association’s VetFran initiative, Dream Vacations has consistently been awarded for its veteran-friendly initiatives, with top rankings from Entrepreneur magazine, Military Times, and Forbes. Dream Vacations’ “Operation Vetrepreneur” program also earned gold at the Travel Weekly Magellan Awards and won the IFA Franchising Gives Back Award, underscoring the company’s commitment to supporting veterans.
Almost 500 companies applied to be considered for Entrepreneur’s annual ranking of the top franchises for veterans. To determine the top 150 from that pool, Entrepreneur evaluated their systems based on several factors, including the incentives they offer veterans (such as franchise fee discounts), how many of their units are owned by veterans, whether they offer any franchise giveaways or contests for veterans, whether they have any veterans on their leadership team, and more. The ranking also considered each company’s 2024 Franchise 500 score, which is based on an analysis of 150-plus data points in the areas of costs and fees, size and growth, franchisee support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability.
“Franchises love veterans for two good reasons: They’re the heroes of our nation, and they make incredible franchisees,” says Jason Feifer, editor in chief of Entrepreneur magazine. “By publishing our ranking of the Top Franchises for Veterans, we hope to help veterans who are looking to buy a franchise — and to help support the brands that best support our troops.”
