October 4, 2018 MT. VERNON, Ill. – DoubleTree by Hilton Mt. Vernon opens its doors today, welcoming guests to southern Illinois with the first full-service hotel in the area.

 

Featuring 200 guest rooms, the hotel is located just outside Mt. Vernon’s city center with convenient access to highways 57 and 64 that lead to surrounding cities including St. Louis, Missouri to the West; Chicago, Illinois to the North; Memphis, Tennessee to the South; and Indianapolis, Indiana to the East. On-site restaurant and bar Double Overtime Grill boasts an upscale sports bar vibe and specializes in American cuisine, serving a variety of classic entrees such as hand-cut steaks, prime rib, seafood, Kobe burgers and fried bologna sandwiches.
