Crystal Named Best Luxury Cruise Line By Fodor’s Experts

First-ever Fodor’s Travel Awards highlights the line’s service and amenities

MIAMI, June 19, 2019Noting the acclaimed personalized service found aboard all of its ships, Fodor’s Travel has named Crystal as the “Best Luxury Cruise” in its inaugural Fodor’s Travel Awards. The publication launched the awards this year with an aim to be “more inclusive, more honest” in regard to the nuances of travel that vary for every individual traveler. Crystal’s private butler service and high crew-to-guest ratio, along with all-inclusive champagne and fine wines and master sommeliers, Michelin-style dining experiences, and elegant guest suites across the Crystal fleet are among the many distinctions that set it apart from the competition.

“We are delighted to be recognized as the best in Fodor’s new travel awards,” said Carmen Roig, Crystal’s senior vice president of marketing and sales. “The awards underscore the facets of our voyages that have long made Crystal the best in the world, and also acknowledge travelers’ individuality and personal style, which is a central tenet of the Crystal Experience.”

Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity have been earning top acclaim from world’s travelers and experts for decades. In the past two years, both ships – each built with the tonnage of larger category ships, but accommodating just 848 and 970 guests, respectively – have undergone dramatic redesigns that further elevated the standard of luxury and anticipatory service offered on board. More Penthouse accommodations with private butler service, new globally-inspired dining experiences and choices and enhanced high-tech amenities throughout the ships have reaffirmed the line’s commitment to meeting and exceeding travelers’ individual wishes.

Likewise, Crystal Yacht Cruises’ boutique yacht Crystal Esprit is suited perfectly to travelers seeking more active and carefree experiences, with itineraries including marquee destinations as well as less explored harbors not accessible by larger ships. Crystal River Cruises’ all-suite, all-balcony ships sail the rivers of Europe, offering a Crystal Collection of more than 200 experiences ashore that are tailored to guests’ specific interests. Launching in August 2020, Crystal Expedition Cruises’ Crystal Endeavor will sail bold expeditions and cultural discoveries in the farthest corners of the world, while offering onboard delights commensurate with Crystal’s famed standard of luxury.

Across the Crystal fleet, travelers enjoy genuine, personal service from an international crew; inclusive Michelin-inspired cuisine in an array of dining venues; unlimited pours of fine wines, spirits and beers; and onboard enrichment designed to enhance the experience.
