Cruise Line CEOs Take the Stage at CruiseWorld

Written By: Mary Pat Sullivan, Content Director, CruiseWorld

Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld programing will feature the CEOs of the three major cruise lines in the industry—Carnival Corporation & plc, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd, and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. These three executives represent more than 80 percent of the world’s cruise berths, and almost every cruise line in the industry will be represented over the three days.

Arnie Weissmann, Travel Weekly Editor-in-Chief, will lead one-on-one discussions each day with a CEO. The event will kick off with Frank Del Rio, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd, followed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Chairman and CEO, Richard D. Fain. The concluding day of CruiseWorld will highlight Arnold Donald, CEO of Carnival Corporation & plc.
The full roster of general sessions, workshop options and industry certification programs will be available for viewing online in July at www.cruiseworldshow.com.

“We’re honored to have the support and presence of such key industry leaders at CruiseWorld,” said Alicia Evanko-Lewis, Senior Vice President of Events for Northstar Travel Group. “Hearing insights, travel trends and brand updates from these CEOs keeps travel advisors informed and aware of the state of our industry. The travel advisors in attendance are incredibly valuable to the advancement of our industry and it’s crucial that we provide them with an opportunity to hear from these high-level executives.”

Panel discussions will bring additional industry voices to the stage including presidents of host agencies, cruise lines, tour operators, river cruise companies and senior sales and marketing executives from throughout the industry.

This year, CruiseWorld is once again offering its Select Travel Advisor Recognition (STAR) program. The core component of the STAR Program is a series of business connections scheduled between exhibiting suppliers and prequalified travel advisors committed to business growth. Advisors selected to participate in the program will receive complimentary registration and hotel accommodation for two nights. Those spots are filling quickly, with nearly half already committed. Visit www.cruiseworldshow.com/star for more details and to apply.

Ship inspections are scheduled for Nov. 18 and 19 in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami, with new ships being added to the roster. For a complete lineup, visit www.cruiseworldshow.com/ships. Inspections are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

Our valued Home Based Travel Agent Community can receive $25 off the current registration rate by using code HBTA at registration checkout. To register and secure your space on ship inspections, head to www.cruiseworldshow.com/register.
