10 October 2024 – Civitatis, the leading curated marketplace for tours and activities in Portuguese, has announced the appointment of Alexandre Oliveira as the new Country Manager for Brazil. This strategic move reflects Civitatis’ ambitious goal of achieving 100 % business growth in terms of Brazilian clients bookings by 2025, further cementing its presence in the country while aligning with the company’s broader focus on expanding its footprint in Latin American markets.
Bringing over two decades of experience in the travel and technology sectors, Alexandre Oliveira will lead Civitatis’ efforts to expand its reach and partnerships across Brazil. His primary focus will be on strengthening strategic relationships, optimizing operations, and exploring new opportunities in the market. By driving these initiatives, Alexandre will play a key role in positioning Civitatis as the go-to platform for Portuguese-speaking tours and activities in the country.
Throughout his extensive career, Oliveira has held numerous executive roles, including Director of Operations & Solutions at Softtek Brasil and Business Development Director for Latin America at Amadeus IT Group. Most recently, Alexandre was Head of Sales for Latin America at Hotelbeds, overseeing the company’s growth in hospitality, mobility, and experiences distribution.
Alexandre will lead and further develop the company’s established local team of key professionals in retail and wholesale travel agencies, OTAs, marketplaces, loyalty programs, supply, communications, content, affiliates and performance marketing, focusing on both B2C and B2B initiatives. As part of Civitatis’ mission to grow and consolidate its business in Brazil, Alexandre will oversee this team to enhance collaboration and streamline efforts across various business functions.
