‘Book with Confidence’ with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

17th January 2019 – With the continual news coverage about Brexit and its potential impact, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is reassuring guests and the travel trade that they can book their cruise holidays with the company with full confidence.

To support its new ‘Book with Confidence’ guarantee, Fred. Olsen will be highlighting:

  • New ‘No Supplement, No Surcharge’ guarantee
  • All prices on board are in Pounds Sterling
  • Fred. Olsen’s Enjoyment Promise
  • ABTA and ATOL protection
  • Over 170 years of sailing heritage

This means that, once a booking is confirmed, Fred. Olsen guarantees that no surcharges or supplements will be added to the cruise price. Bookings are underpinned by the security of ABTA and ATOL protection, as well as Fred. Olsen’s industry-leading ‘Enjoyment Promise’, giving real peace of mind.

What is more, all cruises, shore tours and purchases made on board Fred. Olsen’s ships are priced in Pounds Sterling – so that guests can explore the world without having to worry about exchange rates.

Justin Stanton, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “While we live in uncertain times, we are confident that cruising with Fred. Olsen will always be a relaxing and enriching way to discover the world.

“With over 170 years of sailing heritage behind us, we have seen many changes during this time, but what has never wavered is our focus on giving guests the best possible experience, wherever and whenever they choose to sail with us.”

Launched on 5th December 2018, Fred. Olsen’s ‘Cruise Sale’ is offering a range of tempting booking incentives, such as ‘FREEDrinks and Tips’, on over 150 ocean and river cruise holidays in 2019/20, on all new bookings made until 28th February 2019 inclusive.

Fred. Olsen unveiled its pioneering ‘Enjoyment Promise’ in 2013, from which time it has been offered as standard. Simply book more than 12 weeks ahead on cruises of five nights or more and, if guests find that the cruise is not for them within 48 hours of sailing (24 hours on Brabant river cruises), just let Guest Services know on board the ship and Fred. Olsen promises to arrange and pay for flights back to the UK from the next port and repay the cost of the holiday.

In 2019/20, Fred. Olsen’s fleet of four smaller, more intimate ocean ships, Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch, will be sailing from five convenient regional UK departure ports – Dover, Southampton, Liverpool, Newcastle and Edinburgh (Rosyth) – taking in 219 cruise destinations in 75 countries around the globe, covering 79 areas of scenic cruising.

In addition to its ever-popular ex-UK cruises, Fred. Olsen is also offering an expanded programme of exotic fly-cruises in 2019/20, aboard its stylish 880-guest ship, Boudicca, giving guests the chance to discover remote destinations and cultures all over the globe, including the Indian Ocean, Australasia and the Far East.
