ARC Selects Amazon Web Services to Accelerate Transformation

Cloud Migration Will Support ARC’s Future Data and Settlement Platform

ARLINGTON, Va. – July 26, 2018 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) is pleased to announce that Amazon Web Services (AWS) was selected by ARC to enhance its ability to deliver on all of the key requirements of ARC’s long-term transformation program.

AWS will provide a secure foundation on which ARC will deliver its future data and an enhanced settlement product. AWS’s industry-leading cloud services will allow ARC to provide improved functionality that supports new distribution models and relationships between airlines and agencies. Moving to the cloud will let ARC increase capacity as the business scales without waiting until it is procured, delivered and installed. Working with AWS will also allow for more software flexibility.

“This platform, with AWS at the core, will permit ARC to meet the needs of our agency and airline customers today and in the future,” said ARC’s Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Dickie Oliver. “ARC will be able to deliver the products and services our customers desire at a pace that matches their needs and will drastically improve ARC’s technology service capabilities.”

Massimo Morin, head of worldwide business development, travel at AWS commented, “We are seeing an acceleration of cloud adoption in the travel vertical. Market leaders like ARC are joining the family of travel companies that have chosen to use AWS to transform their businesses and innovate on behalf of their customers. We look forward to working with ARC on their mass migration to AWS, and enabling them to take advantage of the breadth and depth of AWS services like machine learning and artificial intelligence to build new cloud-based products at a faster pace.”
