ARC Recommends GetYourGuide as Tour and Activity Supplier for Travel Agencies

Agencies Will Earn Higher Commissions on Bookings Through GetYourGuide

ARLINGTON, Va. – December 13, 2017 – Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) announced today that it recommends travel agencies use GetYourGuide—the largest online booking platform for travel activities—as an alternative to ARC MarketPlace upon its closure December 29, which ARC announced last month.

GetYourGuide provides an easy booking process for travel agents through dedicated partner links, an agency portal to track sales and commission payments, and 24-hour customer support in more than 18 languages. The company will process monthly commission payments, and does not market directly to agents’ clients.

As part of the partnership, ARC will refer agencies who have booked with ARC MarketPlace to GetYourGuide. Agents who use GetYourGuide will be able to book over 31,000 tours and activities in over 7,300 destinations worldwide. GetYourGuide will pay all agencies referred by ARC a special incentive commission on bookings completed using their platform.

“We are pleased to recommend GetYourGuide to travel agencies that rely on commissionable products as an important source of revenue,” said Doug Mangold, ARC’s vice president of product. “We will support our customers in transitioning to GetYourGuide as we believe the company will support them and respect the relationships travel agencies have with their customers.”

“GetYourGuide looks forward to providing ARC’s travel agent members a superior experience through our new partnership,” said Shane Mayer, director of business development at GetYourGuide. “Thanks to our extensive track record and unparalleled reach in the tours and attractions space, we’re ideally suited to provide the right expertise and tools to help ARC’s agents serve their clients and drive significant revenue.”

ARC MarketPlace will function as usual through December 29. Agents can call ARC’s Customer Care Center (1-855-816-8003) for more information about ARC MarketPlace’s closure. More information about GetYourGuide is available online.
