ARC Receives National Designation as Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2018

ARLINGTON, Va. – February 6, 2018 –Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) is pleased to announce it has been named one of the Best Workplaces for CommutersSM in 2018 for offering exceptional employee-provided commuter benefits that meet the National Standard of Excellence criteria. ARC is among a select group of workplaces in the U.S. that was cited for having at least 14 percent of their employee base not driving alone to work within a 12-month period.

ARC offers employees several commuter benefit options, including:

  • A monthly taxable allowance to employees in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to assist with overall commuter costs.
  • Free onsite parking at ARC’s Louisville, Ky. and Tampa, Fla. offices.
  • The opportunity for employees to work from home, which reduced all employee commuter trips by six percent.
  • A variety of carpool matching programs—including Arlington Transportation Partners, Ticket To Ride and Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority Commuter Services—that connect commuters with each other to share the ride to and from work.
  • An Emergency Ride Home program that provides commuters who carpool, ride transit, bike, or walk, with reimbursement in the event of an unexpected emergency.

“ARC is extremely proud of our progressive commuter benefits program that saves employees time, money and reduces stress,” said ARC Chief Human Resources Officer Eric Barger. “Our benefits certainly give ARC a competitive edge in employee recruitment and retention. Most importantly, we are committed to providing a better quality of life for our talented employees.”

The Best Workplaces for Commuters program offers designated organizations access to a range of support services to assess and promote non-driving commuting of employees, including organizational assessment and implementation tool-kits, web-based tools and webinars, staff training and information exchange.

Julie Bond, program manager for Best Workplaces for Commuters, commented, “ARC is on the cutting edge of a national movement. Excellent commuter benefit programs may reward these companies not just with a national designation, but buoys workplace productivity, customer loyalty and brand recognition in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
