ARC MarketPlace to Close at Year’s End

Decision Due to Viator Terminating Partnership Agreement

ARLINGTON, Va. – November 1, 2017 – Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) announced today that ARC MarketPlace, an exclusive web-based portal for travel agents to book commissionable products including tours, activities and passport and visa services, will cease operation Friday, December 29. The closing of ARC MarketPlace is a consequence of Viator, Inc. deciding to terminate its partnership with ARC.

“We are disappointed that Viator has taken this action, and proud to have served the agency community with this source of products, commission payment and call center support for almost eleven years,” said Doug Mangold, ARC’s vice president of product. “Commissionable products, such as those sold via ARC MarketPlace, are an important source of revenue for travel agencies, and we will support our customers in transitioning to suppliers that support them and will respect the relationships travel agencies have with their customers.

“We very much appreciate the agents and partners who, over the last decade, became part of ARC MarketPlace. Their engagement, feedback and loyalty was the foundation of ARC MarketPlace’s success and reinforced the bond ARC has with the travel agency community. We regret that we’re no longer able to provide these services, and wish to thank all of our ARC MarketPlace agency customers for their business.”

ARC MarketPlace will function as usual through December 29, offering an array of commissionable products for agents and supported by ARC’s Customer Care Center.

Agents can call ARC’s Customer Care Center (1-855-816-8003) for more information.
