ARC Dedicates September to Fraud Awareness and Mitigation Education

ARLINGTON, Va. – August 26, 2019 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) kicks off its second annual Fraud Awareness Month free educational webinar series on Sept. 5, helping airlines and travel agencies recognize and mitigate fraud targeted at their organizations. The webinars cover a range of topics and perspectives, including how to fight fraud through collaboration, trends in loyalty fraud, insights from law enforcement, and the latest trends in operational security.

The series includes presenters from both law enforcement and the private sector. Experts from the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance, AmexGBT, Ethoca, Perseuss, Momentum Travel and ARC will share best practices on fraud prevention.

“ARC is dedicated to driving greater collaboration between airlines and travel agencies because the more we collaborate, the better we are at collectively keeping fraud out of the travel ecosystem,” said Cornelius Hattingh, ARC’s director of revenue integrity. “The same fraudsters target both airlines and travel agencies and we can all benefit from knowledge sharing as we work to mitigate industry fraud.”

The webinar series launches with, “Safeguarding the Air Travel Industry: ARC’s Insights and Collaboration,” where attendees will learn what ARC’s risk team does to safeguard the settlement environment and ensure revenue integrity for its stakeholders. Hattingh and ARC’s Fraud Investigations Director, Doug Nass, will provide stats, insights, and trends while discussing ARC’s anti-fraud initiatives.

Registration information about September’s free webinar series is available online.
