ARC Continues Technology Modernization with Selection of Slalom

Companies to Work Together to Bring Forward ARC’s Distribution Vision

ARLINGTON, Va. – November 27, 2018 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) is accelerating its technology transformation with the selection of Slalom to work closely with ARC to rapidly realize the company’s Distribution: Evolved vision. Slalom consultants will help develop solutions based on the needs of customers and will transfer their knowledge so ARC teams can operate independently once the consultants disengage. This partnership will enable ARC to support the full spectrum of distribution models and continue to deliver premier data products to the global air travel community.

“ARC continues to make significant investments in its technology to ensure we can provide the travel industry with compelling products and unmatched distribution and settlement services,” said ARC’s Vice President and Chief Information Officer Dickie Oliver. “Our engagement with Slalom is an example of that commitment and we look forward to working with them as they help us achieve our future-state vision.”

Slalom was chosen due to their cultural and technical alignment with ARC as well as their proven track record of delivering complex projects. In conjunction with previously announced partners Amazon Web Services and Snowflake Computing, Slalom will assist with ARC’s cloud migration and platform redesign, which will allow the company to increase its capacity as its business scales.

Slalom’s Technology Enablement Director Ussama Baggili said, “ARC and Slalom’s joint partnership objective is to enable ARC to continuously deliver new distribution models and data products to airlines and travel agencies while transitioning the work back to the hands of ARC employees. Slalom’s proven experience-led product engineering methodology will play a key role in enabling ARC’s ability to deliver at scale while future-proofing its delivery capabilities. We look forward to working alongside ARC’s talented teams.”
