Travel Agent News for Airline Reporting Accreditation
ARLINGTON, Va. – Jan. 29, 2019 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC), which settled nearly $95 billion in ticket transactions between airlines and travel agencies in 2018, is pleased to announce that it accredited 73 new agencies in 2018. As of December 31, 2018, ARC had 12,125 retail agency locations approved to ticket worldwide flights on 236 airlines.
“As the air travel industry continues to evolve, travel agencies must be innovative and adapt to the changing landscape to provide the best possible customer experience. At ARC, we see our accredited agencies rising to the occasion, developing compelling business models and offers,” said ARC Accreditation Manager Richard Gordon. “With ARC, agencies are empowered to build the best air packages for their customers.”

In addition to the 73 newly ARC-accredited agencies, a record number of 18 participating airlines also joined ARC in 2018. Those airlines include Africa World Airlines (Ghana), Jubba Airways (Kenya), Lanmei Airlines (Cambodia), Air Côte d’Ivoire (Côte d’Ivoire) and Loganair (Scotland).
ARC accredits agencies in all 50 states, American Samoa, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Information about becoming an ARC-accredited travel agency is available online.
