GUILFORD, CT – January 4, 2017 – American Cruise Lines, operator of the newest cruise ships in the United States, has raised $14,000 for the Connecticut Food Bank with its Holiday Give-Back Program.

Since the Give-Back Program began in 2013, American Cruise Lines and its ability to contribute to the community have grown. This year, American Cruise Lines has surpassed the previous year’s donation of $10,500.
Susan Shultz, Director of Sales, presented the Connecticut Food Bank with the donation on behalf of American Cruise Lines at the Food Bank’s distribution center in Wallingford, CT. “There is nothing as rewarding as giving back to the local community and helping those in need,” says Shultz. “It’s our goal to continue to share our successes with the Connecticut Food Bank in the coming years.”
Connecticut Food Bank CEO Bernie Beaudreau said the donation from American Cruise Lines would support critically needed food for hungry families in Connecticut. “This generous donation will provide enough food for 28,000 meals. We are grateful for the generosity of American Cruise Lines, given in recognition of their travelers, who shared the bounty of their holiday with Connecticut families in need.”
