AmaWaterways Promotes Alex Pinelo to Chief Sales Officer and Michal Maguire to Chief Marketing Officer

Calabasas, CA, March 2025 – Award-winning luxury river cruise line, AmaWaterways, announced the promotion of Alex Pinelo to Chief Sales Officer and Michal Maguire to Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Both Pinelo and Maguire bring significant expertise to their new roles, poised to further elevate AmaWaterways’ position as a leader in the industry.

Alex Pinelo, Chief Sales Officer

A seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience in the cruise industry, Alex Pinelo has been a pivotal member of the AmaWaterways team since 2016. Known for his ability to build lasting relationships with travel advisors and drive revenue growth, Pinelo has earned a reputation as an industry leader. In November 2024, he was appointed to the Travel Institute Board of Directors. In his new role as Chief Sales Officer, Pinelo will continue to build and nurture AmaWaterways’ strong network of travel advisors while leading the company’s sales strategies across global markets.

 

Michal Maguire, Chief Marketing Officer

Michal Maguire, who joined AmaWaterways in 2019, has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer after her successful tenure as Vice President, Marketing, since 2023. With over 20 years of experience in digital marketing and integrated communications, Maguire has been integral in positioning AmaWaterways as a leader in luxury river cruising. Leading AmaWaterways’ global marketing initiatives, Michal will continue to enhance brand awareness, foster growth, support travel advisors and share the company’s exceptional river cruise experiences with loyal and new guests worldwide.
