AmaWaterways Appoints Alex Pinelo As Head Of Latin American Sales Department

 

Calabasas, CA – (May. 23, 2017) – AmaWaterways today announced that it has expanded its sales team, naming Alex Pinelo to the newly created position of Director, Latin American Sales. Effective immediately, Pinelo will be responsible for developing new Latin American markets, as well as expanding the company’s existing relationships with the travel agent community throughout Latin America.

 

“Over the past several years, AmaWaterways has experienced tremendous sales growth coming from the Latin American markets. We feel the time is perfect to reinforce the existing team of specialists we have in place to better service and expand our presence in these markets,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways. “With an abundance of key account management experience and a history in developing new market opportunities, Alex is going to be a terrific asset as we continue to grow into the future, helping open doors for AmaWaterways and solidifying our presence in other emerging markets.”

 

A seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry, Pinelo has held senior leadership positions driving sales growth through national account management, as well as charters and incentive groups. Prior to joining AmaWaterways, he served as vice president of key accounts for Norwegian Cruise Line in Miami.
