Viking is the only cruise line with the top scores in two categories in the same year\u2014a distinct honor awarded by Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler<\/em>\u00a0readers.<\/p>\n

More than 800,000 readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences and tens of thousands of comments as part of the 34^{th<\/sup> annual Readers\u2019 Choice Awards survey. Today\u2019s announcement comes ahead of Viking\u2019s 25^{th<\/sup> anniversary in 2022, which is slated to be the company\u2019s biggest year yet. In January 2022, the company will launch} Viking Expeditions<\/a>, with two purpose-built Polar Class 6\u00a0vessels,\u00a0Viking Octantis<\/em><\/a>\u00ae<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Viking Polaris<\/em><\/a>\u00ae<\/em>, sailing voyages in Antarctica, the Arctic and North America\u2019s Great Lakes. Next summer, Viking will launch its highly anticipated U.S. river cruises and bring modern river cruising to the region with the debut of Viking Mississippi<\/em><\/a>\u00ae<\/em>, sailing between New Orleans and St. Paul. Not only will next year mark major fleet development milestones for Viking, the company is also experiencing robust sales. As of August 2021, bookings for 2022 are at record levels\u2014up 42 percent over 2019, which previously had been Viking\u2019s top year.<\/p>\n
